02 Internal Communications Event


After receiving the list of O2’s requirements, NYS Corporate proposed a suitable venue from a preferred auction list of venues and channelled their expenditure into the Holiday Inn Birmingham M6 J7.  The key stakeholder responsible for these types of bookings were involved throughout in the E-Auction process.   This venue would provide O2 with a significant cost reduction from the venues they currently had in place.

Along with this saving, NYS Corporate also negotiated with the venue to include within the DDR additional extras such as storage facilities and car parking.

The Brief

  • Short lead times from enquiry to training
  • Meeting requirements: 15 cabaret x 5 days, unlimited servings tea/coffee, Lunch
  • Equipment: LCD Projector, Screen, 2 Flipcharts, WIFI
  • Accommodation: Monday x 4 nights (bill back), Sunday Evening for 30% attendees BB (pay on departure)
  • General Requirements: Natural daylight, air conditioned rooms, no mini bars in bedrooms as a number were under 18 years of age
  • Minimum numbers x 6
  • Cancellation Terms – 2 weeks prior

Through channelling expenditure into the Holiday Inn, from the previous arrangement of using the two separate venues the Thistle Birmingham Centre and etc venues Maple House . NYS Corporate also worked to negotiate the terms and conditions with the venue in order to make amendments up to 2 weeks prior to the booking taking place, with no extra charge.
