From a supply chain of over a thousand companies, NYS Corporate won the “Highest Value of Total Savings” award> at Siemens’ annual Supplier Awards in November 2005, thanks to their unique combination of cost-saving techniques, and the 18% cost saving achieved
Since then, NYS Corporate’s relationship with Siemens has gone from strength to strength. The contract was re-let in 2010, with NYS Corporate once again being the selected provider.
A key part of NYS Corporate’s relationship with Siemens is the effective Account Management strategy that was put in place during the implementation phase of the contract, over 7 years ago.
Since winning the re-tendered contract in 2010, Account Manager Caroline Medcalf has been working to further consolidate conference, meetings and events expenditure across the different businesses within Siemens. Through building relationships in new areas of the company, key areas such as healthcare, industry and energy have come on board, increasing transparency of expenditure for their contract lead
Caroline’s activity revolves around engaging with procurement, event management and local buyers within each division, changing attitudes to booking via an external supplier, and demonstrating the benefits to their company of using NYS Corporate.

The original savings amounted to 18% of the expenditure channelled through NYS Corporate.
Now, a further eight major companies within the Siemens brand have come onboard, resulting in a 14% increase in bookings, and an increase in consolidated expenditure of over 46%.
